FAQS

Updated September 2024

  1. I wish to transcribe one of your arrangements for my ensemble. How may I proceed?

While arranging or transcribing my existing pieces is not typically prioritized, I am open to such requests. Please contact me directly with the specific piece you wish to have arranged, transcribed, or orchestrated for your ensemble. Should time constraints prevent me from accommodating your request, we can discuss alternative arrangements.

  2. I would like to create a video of myself performing your music with the transcription displayed on screen. What steps should I take?

In the case of performing my music and display the transcription on screen, certain contexts may require prior approval. For example, if you plan to record a performance of a particularly challenging solo cornet line from one of my test pieces and the video duration does not exceed 90 seconds, I generally have no objections. Conversely, if you have purchased a Euphonium & Piano piece and intend to record and display the entire transcription within your video, this is not permitted. Please contact me for approval in cases outside of these examples.

  3. All your music is available in PDF format only, and I do not have access to a printer. What are my options?

If you lack access to a printer, I may be able to provide printed scores and parts under certain circumstances. Please note that this service will incur additional costs beyond the listed price of the PDF version. Kindly contact me to discuss your specific needs and the associated fees.

  4. I purchased one of your pieces through a publisher or distributor and am experiencing issues with printing or delivery. What should I do?

If you have acquired one of my pieces through a publisher or distributor, such as Faber Music, Prima Vista Musikk, Brookwright, or Sheet Music Direct, and are encountering issues related to printing or delivery, my ability to assist directly is limited. However, I am willing to contact the respective publisher or distributor on your behalf and will make every effort to facilitate a satisfactory resolution to your concern.

  5. I ordered a PDF of your work but have lost the file. How can I obtain another copy?

If you have purchased a PDF version of my work and have misplaced the file, please do not worry. Simply provide me with the invoice number associated with your purchase, and I will gladly send you another watermarked copy of the PDF.

  6. Why do you offer music exclusively in PDF format?

The shift to PDFs reflects the growing use of digital devices like iPads, reduces the need for photocopying, and eliminates international postage fees, offering ease of access. It also prevents issues like searching for missing parts (e.g., "Does anyone have a copy of the 2nd baritone part for...?").
